Sharing your Content Across Social Media
Hangout out will broadcast HERE beginning at 7 p.m. Use #edjourneys to ask questions on twitter during my webinar on social media tonight 7 EST
Faculty members are natural content creators, yet too often we forget that we have the ability to share and market that content beyond our classroom walls. In the social media age, content curation is one of the best currencies for advancing our career, whether in academia, in writing, or in entrepreneurial endeavors.
Social media creates online authority for those of us in expanding our expertise to a wider audience beyond our classrooms. In addition, we can gain opportunities for exposure to faculty wishing to present at conferences, collaborate with others in research, and create demand for their expertise at institutions of higher education.
Google Hangout on Air
Join me for this Google Hangout where I will discuss some of the social media tools that you have available to use and how to optimize your expertise across many different mediums. You may find the opportunity to share your authority with those outside of academia just as rewarding as sharing it within, while creating additional income opportunities.
Come back to this post on Thursday, October 10th at 7 p.m. EST for a live streaming webinar using Google Hangouts. Have questions prior to the start of the webinar? Post them here!
